  Kyrenia - Girne

Kyrenia is situated along the northern coast of Cyprus. It is the most touristic city in North Cyprus with its horseshoe shaped old harbour. Kyrenia harbour is said to be one of the panoramic harbours in the world. In the old time the Kyrenia harbour was lined with ware houses in which crops from countryside were stored whilst they awaited export. Now the Kyrenia Harbour is nest of restaurant offering international and local cuisine, bars, cafes and hotels. Kyrenia Castle is located east end of old Kyrenia harbour. One of the world's oldest ship wreck was found in dating back to the Alexander the Great, BC2300; This wreck is housed in a museum in Kyrenia Castle. Another Castle of Kyrenia is St. Hilliarion Castle in the Five Finger Mountains. The castle was rumoured to be the inspiration for Walt Disney's Sleeping Beauty Castle. You will find many shops selling local products as well as international trade marks. There are huge ranges of activities you can join such as paragliding, parasailing, bird watching, scuba diving, boat cruise, watching nestling of turtles.



Morphou - Guzelyurt

Guzelyurt is situated northwest of Cyprus. Guzelyurt bay has the best panoramic view of Mediterranean blue waters and Troodos Mountains together in North Cyprus. Guzelyurt area is proud of its citrus gardens and strawberry fields. It is said that most delicious oranges of Cyprus are those from Lefke (at west of Guzelyurt Bay). Forests overspread on this greenest plato of North Cyprus. Especially east part of Guzelyurt starting from Akdeniz village until Middle East Technical University, pine forests covers quite big area. A progress project for Guzelyurt truism area was approved last year. With the truism master plan 18-hole golf course and 18 5-star hotels are going to be built at west of Guzelyurt including Akdeniz village. Infrastructure works for hotels have been started. According to governments announcements new main road and other infrastructure will be completed very quickly. So Guzelyurt will be golf and truism centre. First golf course of Cyprus, Cengiz Topel Golf club is located at west of Guzelyurt. You will enjoy shopping in the old streets and benefit from quite cheap prices. The area is rich with pre historic ruins and tombs as well as St Mamas Church. One of these is Soli which dates back to 6th century BC. The Tombs of Kings in akdeniz village belongs to 5th century BC. There are two universities in the area. First Lefke European University is founded. Second university in the area is Middle East Technical University. The university started education in 2005. The construction of the campus is continuing. The university will be the biggest university of Cyprus when the whole campus completed.



Famagusta - Magusa

Famagusta is claimed to be founded King Ptolemy of Philadelphus of Egypt in 285 BC. Beginning of glorious times comes across with Lusignan Dynasty. In its golden age (13.century) Famagusta was one of the main trading centres in Mediterranean. Famagusta became capital city of Cyprus after Venetians started ruling the island. There are at least 17 churches from different periods in the old walls of Famagusta. Most know from those is St. Nicholas which is Lala Mustafa Pasha Masque now. The cathedral fig tree is not only North Cyprus oldest tree but whole Cyprus. And do not miss to visit Salamis Ruins North Cyprus, the ancient city of Salamis in Famagusta North Cyprus



Nicosia - Lefkosa

Nicosia is the capital city of North Cyprus. The city was dived into Turkish and Greek sectors. It is the administrative city of north Cyprus. Under the Venetian rule city went through major developments. Venetians built very thick ramparts around the city. The walls are 3.5 miles along and have 11 towers and 3 gates. Inside these walls you can see traces of history everywhere you look. You have opportunity to visit middle age buildings and shop at old narrow streets of Nicosia. A visit to Selimiye Mosque, Buyuk Han, Buyuk Hamam and Arap Ahmet Mosque is highly recommended.
