Nestorian Church in North Cyprus
This is believed to have been founded in 1359. It once declined into use as a camel stable. The Greek community, who at one period took over the church, preferred that it should be known as Ayios Georghios Xorinos, or St George the Exiler. There is a belief that if dust from the floor of the church is placed in the house of an enemy he will either die within the year or leave the island. The Nestorians used the Chaldean language in their liturgy, and believed in the dual nature of Christ.
