St George of the Latins Church
Very little survives of the earliest example of Gothic architecture in Famagusta. The church is believed to have been built during the time that St Louis, King of France, established his base in Cyprus for the military operations known as the Egyptian Crusade. Fallen masonry suggests that this must have been a very fine and well decorated building.
