These offices are the best source for upto the minute information, especially in respect of countries which, as in the case of Cyprus, are in the process of developing their tourist industry, and where amenities are increasing year by year. The main North Cyprus Information Bureau is in Nicosia, and there are suboffices in Kyrenia, Famagusta, Guzelyurt. The staffs of these offices know the island thoroughly and are proficient in languages. A full range of travel brochures is available, one for each of the four districts of NorthCyprus. Good advice on local events, tours, travel, etc., will be given to callers. A school for training tourist guides is yielding good results.
